To My Community, Friends And Family.

I am Looking For Your Support.

I am a Junior at Gilroy High School and am the Varsity 112lbs wrestler. Our Team as a whole is State Ranked and have recently taken our 8th CCS Title in a row. Our School program gets no funding from the school district. Our team has several State and National Placers. I literally train with some of the best wrestlers and coaches in the State, and that has helped me tremendously in my wrestling abilities.  

I have faced many obstacles being a female wrestler. Competing in not only the female division but the male division too.  Female wrestling has come a long way. Becoming an Olympic Sport in 2004 for women I keep in the back of my mind I have a chance to excel  in this sport. As of next year due to Title 9 equal sport for females there will be 9 more colleges opening their doors to female wrestling teams. So my future doesn’t stop in High School.

I am asking for your help to make this possible. My trips add up quickly and all post season costs are paid by me and my family, and with support from the community.

The costs my family and I must cover for each trip are: flight for my coach and myself, hotel, car rental, and food.

The tournaments I am trying to compete in this season are:

• 2010 Body Bar Freestyle National Tournament in Kissimmee, FL, May 14 – 15 1st Place
• 2010 Cadet Pan American Championships in Manaus, Brazil, July 16-18
• 2010 Freestyle Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota
